The AG-HVX200 P2minCam debuted as the first camcorder featuring Panasonic's P2 (professional plug-in) card, developed as a recording memory for professional systems. Because the core P2 products use no drive mechanisms, they provide superior resistance to impact, vibration and temperature change.

The AG-HVX200 inherits many of the functions of the popular AJ-HDC27, variable frame rate camera-recorder, which enhanced the production of movies and TV programs. The AG-HVX200's variable frame rate function responds to both slow and quick action. Its true 25p/50p progressive video, cine-like gamma curves and cinelike colour matrix capture images and scenes with the same look and feel as footage from a film camera.

The Panasonic Varicam revolutionised the industry, creating an entirely new category in expressive image production. The AJ-HPX2700 is an entirely new Varicam that employs new CCD and several new valuable features. The new P2 HD Varicams record onto high-capacity P2 cards using any of three codecs: AVC-Intra 100, AVC-Intra 50 or DVCPRO HD. in AVC-Intra 100 mode, you get high-quality 10 bit/4:2:2 image recording with full sampling.

The P2 Varicam AJ-HPX2700 also supports 1080/59.94i, 1080/24p, 720/59.94p with HD multi-format recording. in 720p mode, the variable frame rate can be set anywhere from 1 fps to 60 fps (depending on the system frequency). The Red ONE is capable of recording resolutions of 4K (up to 30 fps), 3K (up to 60 fps) and 2K (up to 120 fps) capture, either directly to flash or to hard disk based digital storage. It features a single Super 35-sized CMOS sensor and a cinematography industry standard PL mount.

The RED ONE has a 12 megapixel bayer pattern CMOS sensor, called the Mysterium. This sensor has about the same active area as a Super 35 film frame masked to the 16:9 aspect ratio, allowing the same depth of field to be produced in conjunction with lenses designed to cover the 35 mm film format.

The Sony HDW-F900R camcorder represents the flagship model within the HDCAM line-up, and has been designed for productions such as drama, commercials and features where a 24P 'film-style look' is required. The HD CineAlta F900R is the successor model to the HDW-F900 which received a Primetime Emmy® Engineering Award back in 2004.

The camcorder features 12 bit processing and gives you the choice of shooting 23.98, 24, 25 or 29.97 progressive scan frames per second and 50i or 59.94i interlaced. The F900R camera has stop frame and time lapse options available and the HKDW-902R board enables HDSDI, SDI and composite monitoring outputs, even at 23.98P.

The Sony HVR-Z1E camcorder is an entry level HD camera, capable of HDV 1080i recordings. The HVR-Z1E is aimed at those working to tight budgets, whilst maintaining DVCAM/DV recording and playback capabilities. These features allow the 1/3" CCD handheld camcorder to be active immediately in current SD systems, while also providing a step-by-step migration to the HD world.

Recording formats for this HDV camcorder consist of 1080/50i/59.94i, 625/50i, 525/59.94i, DV and DVCAM with a HDV/DV firewire/i-Link with analogue video and audio out.

The Sony PDW-700 is the top-of-the-range Sony XDCAM HD camcorder recording HD images at up to 50 Mb/s onto 50GB Dual Layer Professional Discs and is another first for the Axis Films.

The Sony PDW-700 uses three 2/3-inch progressive CCD sensors each with full 1920 x 1080 resolution. The camera has 14 bit A/D conversion, 4:2:2 sampling and recording, and advanced digital signal processing and currently supports recording in 1080/25, 29.97 progressive scan frames per second and 1080/50i and 59.94i interlaced. 720P 50 and 59.94 frames per second will be available in September '08 once updates are released by Sony. Recording times are 95 minutes on a 50GB XDCAM disc and 53 minutes for a 23GB XDCAM disc.

The Sony PDW-F355L camcorder is part of the Sony XDCAM HD tapeless range and is designed for todays AV/IT HD workflow, recording to 50 GB Dual Layer Professional Discs*.

The camcorder gives you the choice of shooting 50i/59.94i/23.98P/25P/29.97P pictures in HD and SD (DVCAM). Using three 1/2 inch HD CCD sensors, the PDW-F355 allows shooting and recording in both progressive scan and interlace scan modes with an HD image of 1920 x 1080 resolution.

The PMW-350 extends the multiple award-winning XDCAM EX Solid State Recording product family with a new shoulder mount design and cutting edge new three 2/3 inch-type Exmor full-HD CMOS sensors and 16x HD zoom lens.

The PMW-350 supports multiple frame rate recording such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P and 25P as well as being 1080i/720P switchable.
