On Sight had the very first Panasonic Varicam on the UK’s hire market and at NAB 2008 placed the first orders for both of the new P2 variants of this hugely popular camcorder.

At the top of the P2HD camera-recorder line is the new AJ-HPX3700. Offering the 1920x1080 HD full-pixel recording and 10-bit/4:2:2 full sampling capabilities, the AJ-HPX3700 is ready to record movies, commercials and other high-end film and TV productions.

The camcorder offers HD-SDI output of 23.98PsF/24PsF video signals and high quality output of RGB 4:4:4 camera video signals via Dual Link connectivity, allowing connection to a variety of high-end video production equipment.

The Panasonic AJ-HPX3700 also features a variable frame rate function with a range from 1 fps to 30 fps (depending on the system frequency). Other image-enhancing features in this high-quality HD camera-recorder include Chromatic Aberration Compensation (CAC), 14-bit A/D processing, and a multi-gamma function including Film-REC. Recording options include AVC-Intra 100, AVC-Intra 50 or DVCPRO HD codec.
