Channel 4's new British comedy is the 'Toast of London'

31st October, 2013

New comedy Toast of London is currently showing on Channel 4, produced by Objective Productions. Having supplied the cameras for the successful pilot, seen as part of the broadcaster’s Funny Fortnight season in 2012, ONSIGHT also became the equipment provider for the commissioned series.

It follows Steven Toast, an aging actor that finds himself in a number of challenging situations both on and off the stage.

Liaising with DoP Pete Edwards and Objective Production’s Carla McGilchrist, ONSIGHT’s camera department provided Canon C300s with Zeiss Ultra Primes and ARRI Alura zooms plus accessories for the location based shoot.

Matt Berry (The IT Crowd) writes and stars in Toast of London with Robert Bathurst and Doon Mackichan among many other well-known names. Find out more here from Production.

The six-part sitcom can be seen on Sunday nights after 10PM. Episode 3, Vanity Project, airs Sunday 3 November at 10.25PM on Channel 4 and can be caught on 4oD.
