Academy Award-winning composer Stephen Warbeck is set to hit the big screen with his directorial debut ‘The Thin Man’. Starring Ciaran Hinds, Stephen Dillane and Maïwenn, it is the story of a man journeying through France in a Fiat 500, chased by five angry men in a Citroë Dyane, a musically-rooted road comedy.
OnSight provided full post production for this feature and enjoyed working alongside the Producer Daniel-Konrad Cooper whose recent credits include Christopher Nolan’s ‘Dunkirk,’ alongside theatre-turned-film producer Dominic Dromgoole of Open Palm Films and with Peter Boyle as the offline editor.
Known for his stunning work in Billy Elliot, Quills and of course taking home the 1999 Oscar for his score for Shakespeare in Love, Warbeck is finally taking the leap into directing. Joining him on this UK-France project is co-director John Paul Davidson, who also wrote the script with Warbeck. In addition to this, Warbeck is set to score the film. ‘The Thin Man’ is expected to premiere in 2019.
