On Sight offer comprehensive quality assessment facilities. There are dedicated suites equipped with state-of-the-art technical monitoring such as the Tektronix rastorisers and Sony 24'' HD CRT monitors, offering full analysis of picture, audio and data streams.
-Our quality assessment report (QAR) can be tailored to your particular requirements, whether you are delivering to a particular broadcaster, creating a Blu-ray Master or Video on Demand (VOD) or all of the above.
-Typical applications for our QAR services include Facilities or Production companies producing their own master tapes and seeking compliance before delivery or replication and Distributors requiring technical evaluation of acquisitions.
-Audio stream analysis is performed using stereo or full 5.1+2 monitoring. Measurement of levels and signal quality can be made on any audio configuration including encoded or 5.1 discreet surround sound. For Dolby E, integrity of metadata and audio stems are evaluated. A loudness and Dialnorm report is available using the Dolby LM100.
-Compressed HD delivery formats such as Blu-ray and HD DVD place high demands on Programme Masters. We assess video noise and other artefacts so judgments can be made on suitability for HD encoding.
-We offer Harding reports using the Harding FPA process which ensures compliance with the ITC guidelines on flashing images and regular patterns in television and warns of any sequences likely to precipitate epileptic seizures (PSE). PSE compliance is now a requirement of most major broadcasters.
