We are extremely excited to be nominated in the Content Creation category for the BAFTA award winning Flying Monsters 3D with David Attenborough.

This hugely ambitious project produced by Atlantic Productions for Sky and IMAX, made BAFTA history by becoming the first ever Stereo3D winner during the 2011 awards.  It required the latest in technology and resolution to bring to life the prehistoric world with cutting edge Stereoscopic live action and CGI images.

Having designed a bespoke workflow from the complicated shoot to the extensive postproduction process, Onsight also networked two SGO Mistika systems together to meet Sky and 3D IMAX demands with multiple-format deliveries.  Mistika's flexibility, powerful capabilities and management of RAW data file formats, greatly improved our workflow efficiency.

We congratulate and thank our team and anticipate IBC’s key media technology awards in September.  Thanks also go to Atlantic Productions, David Attenborough, BSkyB and of course SGO for helping us reach this stage.

"This really is an outstanding year for the IBC Innovation Awards, with a very strong short-list," said Michael Lumley, Chair of the judging panel.  "We have flying monsters and business graphics, news production and transmission networks, motorbikes and online delivery.  All show a real partnership to identify the real issues and create an innovative, practical and effective solution.  The judges had a hard job separating them," he added.  "The tension at the awards ceremony on Sunday 11 September, will be electric."

We would like to add it's an absolute pleasure to have since heard that Sir David Attenborough will be awarded the prestigious IBC2011 International Honour for Excellence at Sunday's ceremony.
