Live From Abbey RoadDate: 19th November, 2009 |
There’s really no other place quite like Abbey Road, which is why producers Michael Gleason and Peter Van Hooke chose it as the location for their unique TV concept Live From Abbey Road.
Since opening in 1931, EMI’s world-famous Abbey Road Studios have been at the cutting edge of music and technology so its a natural choice of venue for the Channel 4 series, which has now been broadcast in over 27 countries around the world.
Live From Abbey Road features new performances, interviews and revealing behind-the-scenes footage from both old and new musical talent. The series has won many fans with the producers aiming to record performances that “look like a movie and sound like a record” and has featured the likes of The Killers, Brian Wilson, Lyle Lovett, Fleet Foxes and MGMT.
Series 3 of Live From Abbey Road is currently on air and was shot using four Panasonic HDX900E cameras, which were supplied by Axis Films along with lighting packages.
