David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive 3D wins a BAFTA for best Specialist Factual Date: 19th May, 2014

BAFTA’s Specialist Factual category has been won by David Attenborough’s Natural History Museum Alive (3D) at last night’s esteemed Television Awards in London. ONSIGHT congratulates Colossus Productions and is proud to have played a substantial role in the extraordinary project from cameras through to post.


The film marks ONSIGHT’s sixth 3D Attenborough title with Atlantic Productions and Sky. The first collaboration was Flying Monsters 3D, which won the same award in 2011, making it the first 3D programme to win a BAFTA.

Borneo Shoot for 3D Flight Film Date: 12th May, 2014

Atlantic's 3D production arm Colossus (Galapagos in 3D, pictured) has continued its partnership with facilities company ONSIGHT on David Attenborough's latest 3D special Conquest of the Skies.  The 11-month shoot for Sky and IMAX, which investigates the evolution of flight in insects and birds, started at the end of last year and has been in Borneo with ONSIGHT's Red Epics shooting in 5K paired with Element Technica Atom and PS Freestyle rigs.  High speed camera work has been with Phantom Flex4K cameras.
